Sustainability: tomorrow’s business is today’s job
Sustainability is part of Sanner’s daily work. This includes the modest and appreciative use of all resources, as well as entrepreneurial and social responsibility towards our employees and sites.
Sustainable use of natural resources is an important requirement in our business activities. For this reason, we continuously optimize our manufacturing processes, logistics and infrastructure. State-of-the-art technologies and materials have enabled us to save considerable amounts of electricity and water over the past years. For instance, we generate 50 percent of the required energy with gas from our power/heat cogeneration system. The certification according to ISO 50001 proves that our energy management system successfully implements our targets. And we will continue to sustainably reduce the electricity consumption, as well as CO2 emissions.
As a family-owned company, Sanner is aware of its social responsibility. We want to offer our employees an economic perspective. We are interested in long-term contracts and invest in education and training of our staff and tomorrow’s specialists. Hence, Sanner sponsors several school and kindergarten projects and provides student internships in different divisions – even at the remote Sanner site in China. We work closely with the Technical University of Darmstadt, and are a long-term member of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce committee for industry, research and innovation.
