New state-of-the-art manufacturing facility

Sanner Envelope

New state-of-the-art manufacturing facility

The Sanner Group's new manufacturing site and headquarters, strategically located in the heart of Europe, offers outstanding connectivity to international airports and major transportation routes:

  • 10,000 sqm of production space, featuring dedicated areas for high-precision injection molding and advanced automation capabilities.
  • The production hall is efficiently organized into distinct bays, designed to accommodate both injection molding and assembly operations. It offers flexible adaptation to customer needs in the packaging and device CDMO sectors, with dedicated areas for desiccant filling.
  • Our medical injection molding units comply with global and regional regulatory standards, including cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), FDA, EMA, ISO 13485, and other relevant certifications.
  • A robust Quality Management System (QMS) and proactive risk assessments, combined with in-process controls and final product testing, ensure consistent quality, reliability, and traceability.
  • The site is equipped with advanced machinery, multi-shot molding capabilities, high-cavitation molds, and extensive automation, all designed to meet the stringent standards of the pharmaceutical and medical industries, supporting both small-scale production and large-scale commercialization.
  • A 300 sqm technical center for testing and prototyping is an integral part of the new Sanner Group site in Bensheim.
  • The material flow of manufactured products at the new Bensheim site is fully automated, with finished goods undergoing automated palletizing and labeling processes.
  • Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) supply the production area with empty containers and transport filled containers to the warehouse. This system minimizes contamination risks and ensures a medical device manufacturing environment that complies with regulatory standards.
  • The goods are stored fully automatically in a warehouse with over 10,000 load carrier spaces, effectively doubling the storage capacity.

The sustainable flagship site

Population growth and the increasing demand for goods and services have significantly raised energy consumption, leading to a larger collective carbon footprint. Sustainable manufacturing focuses on producing goods through processes that minimize environmental impacts, conserve resources, and prioritize the safety of both employees and products. This approach not only mitigates business risks but also creates opportunities for process and product improvements.

For Sanner, this commitment to sustainability is reflected in our Bronze EcoVadis ranking, which highlights our efforts in sustainable procurement and environmental initiatives.

  • A vast 18,000 sqm roof area enhances climate protection, supports biodiversity, and provides natural cooling for the building.
  • The full-surface photovoltaic (PV) system installed across the entire roof contributes significantly to renewable energy generation.
  • Latest heat pumps and an automated heat exchange system help improve the ecological footprint.
  • Sustainable products and practices were prioritized, with the new site featuring an advanced building management system that monitors and controls energy consumption for greater efficiency. For instance, over 1,000 luminaires are equipped with sensors that communicate with the building management system, optimizing energy use.
  • The site is also equipped with a wind power plant consisting of three wind turbines, which generate electricity for the building's own use.
